Global streamer of the year IShowSpeed puts the stability of the Powerbeats Pro 2 to the test in a cinematic kung fu epic.
Powerbeats Pro 2 are the ultimate earbuds for athletes. To prove it, we partnered with streaming sensation IShowSpeed, whose wild athleticism and chaotic energy have made him an international superstar with over 86 million followers.
We put his stability to the test in an epic short film directed by Daniel Wolfe, where Speed masters the art of kung fu.
For the first time, Beats did a takeover of their social channels, including a teaser trailer that earned over 3 million organic views.
“Without stability, speed is nothing.”
A hater named ZenAF trolls Speed in his chat, kicking off his epic quest.
Speed meets a wise master who shows him the key to stability — the Powerbeats Pro 2 — and trains to become a kung fu legend. His epic journey was shot on Super 16mm film, lovingly evoking the feeling of classic 1970’s Hong Kong cinema.
The film titles are a mix of glass-painted and metal-cut typography, crafted by hand to remain faithful to the kung fu film genre.
“Troll or teacher, is in the eye of the beholder.”
In a climactic showdown, Speed harnesses the Powerbeats to overcome his instability once and for all.
IShowSpeed premiered the film live on his stream, leading a watch-along and sharing his experiences on set to an audience of tens of thousands of viewers. We even created a pack of custom emotes for his fans to use in the chat.
Composer Adrian Younge, known for his work with Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah, created an original soundtrack, recorded with a 30-piece live orchestra.
